There has been a massive reduction of eid-fitr (big sallah) ram killing in KANO due to lack of money in the country, the muslims in kano have really been honest with their self and decide to cut their coat according to their size ,over 10,000 ram was killed from 2016/2018 but due lack of money ,increament of market prices and closure of border, it has hit the people really hard that since 2019/2021 they were not able to celebrate their intention on the sallah festival and that has cause the reduction of ram killing in kano
Ishaku Yusuf bala the chairman of the ram sellers in KANO speak to one of our news he said “since two years now there has been a massive reduction of ram selling in all their locations in KANO and it has weakened his spirit that sometimes he just blame it on the Nigerian economy and he also plead with the FG to re-strategize the Nigerian economy for better income for the people”
Also speaking with Sheikh imam Abbas Saleh the imam of a prominent mosque in KANO talk some few words of advise to his Muslim brothers and sisters he said ” celebrate only what you can afford ,do not go bankrupt because of the sallah festival because Insha Allah there are more to celebrate”.
